Romir: Half mobile subscribers switch operator at least once
MOSCOW, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- Almost half of mobile connection subscribers in Russia have changed an operator at least once, market research holding Romir said on Wednesday in a statement.
The country’s four biggest mobile operators – MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom, and T2 RTK holding – lost subscribers equally.
Among the main reasons of switching operators were costs of connection services, poor connection quality, and a coverage area.
Romir polled 800 people at the age of 18–65 years, residing in Moscow.
Russia introduced the mobile number portability (MNP) service on December 1, 2013. According to the Federal Communications Agency, almost 9 million numbers were successfully transferred as of Wednesday.
